On November 11, the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Association announced the list of winners for the 2025 Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Technology Innovation Awards. Shandong Zhongjie Special Equipment Co., Ltd. stood out among numerous outstanding achievements and won the first prize for its project "Research and Industrialization of Strain Strengthening Key Technologies in PAW-GTAW Composite Welding for Cryogenic Containers." This achievement fully demonstrates the company's technical strength and leading position in the field of special equipment.

The project focuses on addressing bottlenecks in the manufacturing process of cryogenic containers, achieving breakthroughs in key technologies. Cryogenic containers are critical equipment for storing and transporting ultra-low temperature media such as liquid hydrogen, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid nitrogen, and liquid oxygen, with extremely high requirements for material low-temperature toughness, welding strength, and structural reliability. The company's developed PAW-GTAW hybrid welding and strain strengthening technologies overcome the limitations of traditional processes, significantly improving weld zone performance and low-temperature toughness while reducing equipment wall thickness. This achieves dual objectives of lightweighting and energy-saving in cryogenic container manufacturing, effectively supporting green manufacturing and industrial upgrading.
